About

The Canadian Foundation for the International Space University (CFISU) is a private, non-profit charitable organization which promotes the International Space University (ISU) program in Canada and shares their commitment to the peaceful development of space and future leaders of the Space Community.

With support from Canadian companies, government departments and agencies, the CFISU typically sponsors approximately 10 Canadians each year to the Space Studies Program (SSP) which attracts some of the brightest students and young professionals in technical and non-technical space-related fields worldwide. It has created an extremely effective network of space professionals and leaders that actively facilitate individual career growth, professional activities and international space cooperation. The SSP offers a neutral international forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas on challenging issues related to space and space applications, imparting critical skills essential to future space initiatives in the public and private sectors.

Corporate support opportunities include sponsorship of students to the program, of the Send-Off dinner for the Canadian contingent, the provision of expert lecturers in various fields, and marketing assistance for CFISU activities.

As "Canada's launch pad for tomorrow's leaders", the CFISU makes a viable contribution to the National objectives of Canadians by supporting innovative leaders and endorsing interdisciplinary educational programs in an international, intercultural environment.
